Canstruction®, a design/build charity competition, will feature eight teams from St. Louis area architectural and engineering firms who will design and build structures entirely out of cans. The structures will be built Sat., Oct. 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at America’s Center located at 701 Convention Plaza.

The structures will be available for viewing free of charge from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Thurs., Oct. 26. Hastings+Chivetta Architects is hosting the event, and all canned goods used to create the structures will be donated to Operation Food Search.

Founded in 1992, Canstruction® is an international non-profit charity which distributes millions of pounds of food to local hunger relief organizations annually through its unique design/build competitions and special events.
