Free Health Fair - St. Charles
Free blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol screenings will be administered by LiUNA-Midwest Region nurses, Saint Luke’s Hospital, Barnes Jewish- Saint Peters Hospital, and Progress West Hospital. The National Kidney Foundation will offer free kidney screenings through its KEEP Healthy program, which includes an ACR urine test to check for protein in the urine. The Department of Health for the City of Saint Louis will be offering free Hepatitis C and HIV screenings. The Center for Hearing and Speech will offer free hearing screenings. Walgreens will offer a limited number of free flu shots (for the uninsured only). Cover Missouri will be present to educate and enroll individuals on health insurance options. Casa De Salud and RX Outreach will be providing information regarding free and reduced cost medical services and prescription medicine. United Health Care and Starbucks are providing additional support for the health fair. Saint Charles County Ambulance District will be on site and offering free tours of their ambulance for kids. Additional exhibitors will provide information about immigration services, citizenship, health and nutrition and education.
